"I came to learn - you can never hide from how you really feel inside..."

I realised, aged 14, that music was my calling but I didn’t have any idea of how to put it into practice so at 16 I followed suit and got a ‘proper-job’ working as a car mechanic. Low-pay and redundancy pushed me to look for better job security and so for the following fifteen years I joined the public sector and operated at the sharp end where life on the front line exposed me to a plethora of social problems which helped me to develop lots of interpersonal communication skills. In favour of keeping an understated profile I put my music on the back burner to purposefully suppress a burning passion. In the years that followed all that I came to learn from this is that you can never hide from how you really feel inside.

In 2018, having become very disillusioned with the public sector, and being able to suppress the passion no more, I set out to re-connect myself with live music and to become more of the person I needed to be. The music exploded from within and the adventure began!

Making a return to local open mic nights rattled the nerves and shook away the dust; giving me back my stage confidence. The set lists built and local gigs followed and soon after I was asked to play my first wedding! I started writing again, formed a band (The Mighty George Farmer) and have since released two albums (That Northern Grit, Passion & Fact) and an EP (Raised On These Terraces) with new music on the way. I have toured at prolific venues in Preston, Wigan, Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Brighton and London and received radio airplay in the UK and Australia. I have performed at wedding venues across the North West of England including in The Lake District and Harrogate.

All the experience gained from years of organising performances and playing bars, pubs, clubs, festivals, functions and weddings has shaped me both as a musician and as an individual to be able to personably interact with clients and handle the responsibility of planning and delivering those amazing days and nights we all love to look back on; being able to share my passion to create such happiness and feel-good vibes gives me the ultimate job satisfaction!

Get in touch and give me an easy excuse to put the kettle on as we talk through your event…!
